I was really happy to be a part of the team accompanying the two performances of Dharmasiri Bandaranayake's Dhawala Bheeshana in Delhi and Jaipur. The shows were well received earning a standing ovation for the cast and director in Jaipur. The two interactive sessions titled 'Meet the Director' revealed the great interest the viewers had in the issues in Sri Lanka. Like Dharmasiri, many other directors had chosen to deal with productions that question and interrogate establishment and status quo. The Sri Lankan production was hailed an achievement for its acting and staging as well as the theme of the plot as relevant to today. I'm thrilled that the shows has reached a larger international audience and I'm sure it will travel further.
